Spring Colouring Pages & Simple Crafts for a Joyful Creative Season

🌷🌼🌷🌼🌷

Spring has always been my favourite time of year.

The first flowers starting to bloom, birdsong drifting through the open window, and the occasional bunny or two hopping across the field opposite my studio. It’s hard not to feel inspired by it all.

After a long stretch of grey winter days, those first hints of spring always make me want to create something gentle and joyful. And this year, that’s taken the form of a collection of spring colouring pages and a simple craft project.

A Seasonal Approach to Creativity

I’ve realised recently that working in a seasonal rhythm feels especially natural for these kinds of projects.

Instead of creating randomly throughout the year, I’m leaning into what’s happening outside my window and letting that guide what I make.

So going forward, I’m planning to create and share quarterly colouring collections, each inspired by the season.

Spring felt like the perfect place to begin.

Inspired by Real Spring Moments

Last week, we had a couple of beautifully warm, sunny days here, and I took the opportunity to get outside and soak it all in.

The daffodils in the garden were in full bloom: bright, cheerful, and full of character.

Later that same afternoon, I sat down and created a Daffodils Bouquet colouring page to capture their shapes and poses.

A Little Spring Gift for You

If you’d like a quiet, creative moment this week, you can download this Daffodils Bouquet tied with a pretty bow as a printable colouring page:

A Simple Spring Craft Project 🐣

Once I got started, I found myself on a bit of a creative roll…

Which led to the 3D Decorated Paper Egg Craft Project. It’s a simple, hands-on activity that’s been surprisingly addictive to make.

I’ve already made several of these decorations, and they’re such a fun way to bring a bit of spring indoors.

This project is:

  • Great for families or solo crafting

  • Ideal for Easter and school holidays

  • Easy to personalise with colour and pattern

You can use the JOYFUL code for this as well.

Why Colouring Can Be So Restorative

There’s something about colouring, especially with seasonal themes, that encourages you to slow down a little.

It doesn’t require a big setup or lots of planning.

Just a quiet moment, a few colours, and something simple to focus on.

Whether you’re:

  • Creating with children

  • Looking for a mindful break

  • Or just wanting to reconnect with your creativity

…it can be a really gentle way to do that.

Final Thoughts

This collection has felt like a small celebration of the season, of noticing what’s around me and turning it into something I can share.

And that’s something I’d like to continue throughout the year.
